Hello and welcome to Black Dog Photography! 

My name is Kelly, and I am an avid outdoorswoman and pet lover.  My business name was inspired by the dogs who have blessed my life.  My love of animals led me into my passion for photography early in life.  I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember and have experience with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and birds.

 As a devoted pet lover, I know that with unconditional love comes great loss.  I was blessed with an amazing black lab, Josey, for almost 14 1/2 years.  When I knew my days with her were growing shorter, I began taking as many photos of her as possible, trying to soak in those silky ears, deep brown eyes, and gray muzzle.  It was these images that inspired me to offer End-of-Life Photography Sessions or "Memory Sessions".  It is a gift and an honor to be able to offer these sessions to families with senior or terminally ill pets.  In addition to these sessions, I also offer general pet photography (with their people of course) and mini sessions.  All sessions take place at the location of your choosing.  Whether you prefer to have your pet photographed at home, in the park, swimming in a lake, or running on a trail; I always look to accommodate you and your pet in an environment of fun and low stress.  If this sounds like something you’ve been looking for, I’d love to speak to you!
